‘I’ll Give You That One!’ CNN Conservative Concedes Dem Panelist Has ‘Good Talking Point’ Against Trump

CNN’s Republican strategist Shermichael Singleton was forced to concede that a Democratic co-panelist had a “good talking point” during a conversation about gas prices and American military action around the world.

Singleton was paired with Democratic strategist Sawyer Hackett.

Republicans are “desperately trying to save face and convince the American people that they’re going to lower their gas prices before the midterms. That’s not going to happen,” Hackett said.

He continued:

I mean, based on every expert that’s reviewed this deal, that most of those savings, if there are any savings at the pump, are not going to be for another 5 to 15 years. And, you know, it’s funny that we’re having that we keep having these conversations in the midterms about socialism and communism. Meanwhile, the president is pursuing a plan to have the U.S. Military seize a 35% stake in a Venezuelan oil company. So congratulations on combating socialism. You brought it into Venezuela and into America. It’s great.

Singleton laughed and replied, “That’s a good talking point. I’ll give you that one.”

On Aug. 12, GasBuddy reported Americans are currently dealing with the “highest ever” national price per gallon.

The company’s head of petroleum research, Patrick De Haan, shared the news on X.

“BREAKING: the national average is now at its highest ever level this late in the calendar year, according to GasBuddy data. Meaning the national average has never been above $4/gal after Aug. 12 in any previous year- ever,” he wrote.

De Haan also noted the group has been tracking gas prices since 2000 and added, “However, gas prices had never reached $2/gal prior to 2000, according to other data sources.”

On Aug. 14, CNN’s chief data analyst Harry Enten slammed President Donald Trump’s support from voters. “Joe Biden wasn’t liked on gas prices, but he only reached 72%,” Enten said. “Barack Obama wasn’t well-liked back in 2011, but he only reached 68%. Even George W. Bush back in 2006, he reached 75%. I remember the gas prices being quite high back then, but he only reached 75%. Donald Trump takes the cake as these four-dollar-plus gas prices continue to give us pain at the pump. The American people are taking their anger out on the President of the United States.”
