Mary Trump Says FBI Should Keep Trump Under ‘Constant Surveillance’ — To Keep Him From Selling Top Secret Docs
Ex-presidential niece Mary Trump said former President Donald Trump should be kept under “constant surveillance” by the FBI — singling out concern he’s trying to sell classified documents.
Hasan announced he was leaving MSNBC in January after the network canceled his show, telling viewers of his final program that he would be moving on rather than staying as a contributor.
The host of The Mary Trump Show podcast and strident Trump critic did a live Q&A session in a video exclusive to her The Good In Us newsletter subscribers this week.
Twice during the session, Mary speculated about her uncle auctioning off sensitive documents.
First, she told a viewer that it was not only possible but a “probability” that Trump would pay his blockbuster fraud judgment by auctioning off classified documents “to the highest bidder.”
“We also have to be deeply concerned about the possibility. I would say probability, but — I obviously don’t know — that he still has highly classified documents that he could sell to the highest bidder. Putting our, members of the our national security forces at risk,” she said.
In the closing minutes of the Q&A, another viewer asked if there’s “probable cause” to keep Trump under surveillance, and Mary made the suggestion again:
QUESTION: Okay. From Robin. And we’re going to be done in four minutes, so try to get a couple in. From Robin and Mary, does the FBI have probable cause to keep Donald Trump under constant surveillance, given the security risk he now poses?
MARY TRUMP: I would certainly think so. I mean, my goodness gracious. Who, who more than him should be kept under constant surveillance?
Because if–. They can’t possibly believe that he’s turned over all of those documents that he stole. I mean. They should be tapping his phones. They should be doing everything in their power to make sure they know who he’s in touch with, what he’s trying to sell, and all that other, stuff.
