Max Miller Claims Bernie Moreno Wants Him to Stay Quiet on ‘Certain Things’ As Nasty Domestic Abuse Case Unfolds

Rep. Max Miller (R-OH) appeared to issue a warning shot to his former father-in-law — fellow Ohio Republican Bernie Moreno.

Miller insinuated he has dirt to share about Sen. Bernie Moreno (R-OH) following a Cuyahoga County court hearing related to the ongoing domestic violence allegations which have embroiled the family.

Abby Vesoulis of Mother Jones attended the Wednesday hearing and got a few minutes with Miller, 37, and his lawyer, Larry Zukerman, posting video of the interview to X.

Miller married Bernie Moreno’s daughter, Emily, in August 2022. The couple share a 2-year-old daughter who has been at the center of a heated dispute in which Emily Moreno accused Miller of holding a gun to her head and injuring their toddler, while Miller has sued his ex for defamation.

Miller has repeatedly denied wrongdoing.

As Vesoulis was speaking to his attorney, Miller interjected to sound off about the elder Moreno:

Just real quick to be very frank, look I was part of that family for a very long time. There are certain things that he would like me to remain quiet about and I respectfully have. And I always will intend to do that because that’s not my business to share. But it’s politically motivated.

The Ohio rep did not elaborate on what “certain things” he was talking about, said Vesoulis, who described the “animosity” between the families as “intense.”

Bernie Moreno stayed silent for months on the case and the couple’s dispute before finally speaking out earlier this month, calling on Miller to quit Congress. He later claimed his daughter lived “in constant fear” of her ex who put the family through the “seventh level of hell.”

Zuckerman insisted to Vesoulis that Bernie Moreno simply hates Miller.

“Why is he trying to do it? Because he hates Max and wants to destroy Max,” Zukerman said. “That’s why.”

“Have you ever heard of Bernie Moreno having any involvement in this case until the press started saying to him, ‘Hey Mr. Moreno why aren’t you making any statements about this?'” he added. “I mean your daughter’s claiming she was abused for years, why aren’t you? And he finally comes out of the wood work and makes nasty statements about Max. So he has to politically try to destroy him now to save his own face and his own career.”

Bernie Moreno, who also attended the hearing, did not speak on camera with Vesoulis, according to the clip she posted.
