‘I’m Gonna Have to Cut You Off!’ Fox News’ Will Cain Loses It on Former DNC Chair and Ends Interview

“I’m gonna have to cut you off,” Fox News host Will Cain warned former DNC chair Jaime Harrison on Tuesday as the two repeatedly spoke over each other during a heated interview.

Harrison joined Tuesday’s edition of The Will Cain Show, where Cain spent much of the roughly seven-minute interview pressing the former DNC chair on the rise of democratic socialists within the party.

Harrison pushed back, stressing that he has no affiliation with the Democratic Socialists of America and arguing that extreme factions have existed within the Republican Party as well. He dismissed the attention surrounding the DSA as “more media hype than anything.”

The two continued to spar, frequently talking over each other, before Cain declared that he needed to end the interview after Harrison, also the former chair of the South Carolina Democratic Party, revealed he thought their conversation was supposed to be about the South Carolina Republican primary election. Cain denied the allegation.

Read a transcript of the exchange’s heated final moments, during which Cain was referencing Michigan Democratic Senate candidate Abdul El-Sayed, below:

HARRISON: When [President] Donald Trump literally sat down for dinner with Nick Fuentes, right, a white nationalist, anti-Semitic Holocaust denier, do you believe that Nick Fuentes represents every Republican?

CAIN: Okay. It’s not the first time I’ve heard this analogy invoked, Jaime.

[CROSSTALK]

CAIN: Hold on, hold on. That’s inflammatory, and I’m gonna respond to it.

HARRISON: No, no, no.

CAIN: You have to have the intellectual consistency and honesty to distinguish a dinner from a Senate candidate.

[EMPHATIC CROSSTALK]

HARRISON: What is inflammatory is this — you invite somebody to come on your show to talk about the South Carolina Republican primary, and you don’t even talk about the South Carolina Republican primary! This is the reason why —

CAIN: Okay. There’s no reason. First of all —

HARRISON: Don’t invite me to come on your show to talk about — listen. Don’t invite me to come on your show to talk about the South Carolina Republican primary, and use all the time to talk about the DSA.

[CROSSTALK]

CAIN: Jaime. Jaime. Listen to me for a second. Alright, I’m gonna have to cut you off, Jaime. If my staff told you — Jaime! You can’t hear me while you’re talking. If my staff told you we were talking about the Senate Republican primary, then I apologize. I was under no pretense that I would be talking to you today about a Republican primary. I don’t know why I would book a former Democrat — I’m gonna have to cut you off. We’re talking at the same time.

[CROSSTALK]

CAIN: It does nobody a service. Not you, not me, not the audience. I would never be interested in hearing from a former DNC chair. Thank you, Jaime Harrison. I appreciate the time.
