Meghan McCain Explodes, Demands ‘Handcuff, Perp Walk’ for Fauci After Release of Covid Vaccine Miscarriage Texts

Meghan McCain offered a dramatic take on the release of text messages from Dr. Fauci that appear to suggest taking the COVID-19 vaccine increased the risk of miscarriage for some pregnant women.

“PUT FAUCI IN JAIL!!!! (I am a woman who was pregnant and had a miscarriage during Covid),” she wrote in one message on X.

“This is not hyperbole – handcuff, perp walk and put Fauci in a jail cell for the rest of his life,” McCain added.

The text messages were shared online by Sen. Ron Johnson (R-WI) and Sen. Rand Paul (R-KY) and were exchanged by Fauci, Dr. Rochelle Walensky, and Dr. Vivek Murthy. The discussion of miscarriage is theoretical and mentioned as something to monitor; ultimately, it was determined there was no increased risk for pregnant women who received the COVID-19 vaccines.

“While I’ve been conducting oversight for years, now that we have the documents and Fauci’s government-issued phone, my investigation has only just begun,” Johnson wrote on X.

The message McCain shared appears to have been sent by Fauci and reads, “I asked around a bit more and another issue that came up that you need to be aware of. Since many people have significant cytokines storm and fever after the 2nd dose, this theoretically could be associated with miscarriage in the 1st trimester.”

Per documents shared by Johnson and Paul, Dr. Walensky followed up, “Definitely a good point, esp after dose two.”

“This is really helpful, thanks,” wrote Dr. Murthy. “I’ve been hearing the concern about the mRNA causing mutations in the developing fetus as well. That’s a really good point re the cytokine storm post second dose.”

Dr. Murthy also sent a message asking if the other had seen “this announcement today from WHO saying they advise against pregnant women taking the Moderna vaccine bc of lack of data.”

Fauci answered that “any vaccine in which data are lacking in pregnant women one must weigh the potential risks agains the benefits.” He added that “in the vaccine trials, pregnant women were not allowed but following the EUA (Emergency Use Authorization), a large number (more than 10,000) pregnant women have been vaccinated. No issues have arisen.”

Dr. Murthy expressed “surprise” that the WHO would release “a strong statement” and noted it could be “quite damaging to public confidence among pregnant women.”

The messages were part of the release of at least 34,000 texts between the three doctors. The messages in which the doctors discussed potential risks to pregnant women who received COVID-19 vaccinations were sent in January 2021; the CDC released full guidelines that encouraged pregnant women to get the vaccine in August of the same year, after months of data on the safety of the vaccine became available.

In February 2026, the CDC explained in a release: “COVID-19 vaccination offers the greatest benefit if you are at higher risk for severe illness, including if you are pregnant,” and “COVID-19 vaccination during pregnancy has not been linked to increased health risks for pregnant women or babies. It helps reduce the risk for severe illness from COVID-19.”

Concerns about an increase in risk of spontaneous abortion due to the vaccine were debunked in 2021.
