‘Oh Sh*t!’ Traffic Reporter Watches Live Crash in the Middle of His Segment

An Ohio traffic reporter had an unedited reaction when he caught a glimpse of a car crash while he was in the middle of taping a segment.

Meteorologist and traffic anchor KJ Jacobs was doing a segment for WCPO 9, an ABC affiliate in Cincinnati, Thursday night when the collision occurred.

As he was talking about a stopped vehicle on a stretch of highway, another vehicle collided with the stopped car, prompting Jacobs to suddenly react.

“Traffic is slowing down, both sides, around this car, as well as that on ramp,” Jacobs said. “Oh sh*t!”

Jacobs quickly caught himself and apologized on air.

“Oh, I’m so sorry,” he continued. “This literally– just watched a crash happen in real time, and I almost said something inappropriate.”

He later posted the clip on X/Twitter. In the tweet, he explained that it was the first time he had ever seen a crash live on air.

In the clip, the stopped car had pulled over to an area between an on ramp and the highway.

The footage shows another vehicle suddenly exit the on ramp early and attempt to enter the highway, smashing into the stopped vehicle in the process.

At the time of writing, the conditions of the drivers had not been reportedly. Additionally, it was unclear why the first car was initially stopped in the middle of the highway.
