WATCH: Beachgoer Gets Serious Scare When Seagull Swoops in to Swipe Her Sandwich

“I knew the seagulls were aggressive,” Jersey Shore beachgoer Victoria Shannon Reed told the social news outlet Storyful (via Fox 10 Phoenix)

Yes, the seagulls at Wildwood Crest Beach are aggressive. And they are also very, very hungry.

On July 19, Reed was sitting on the beach unpacking a sandwich when all of a sudden, a seagull came flying in from behind — and, in one incredible swoop, grabbed the entire sandwich.

Reed screamed in terror — even though she had been bracing for an incursion. She told Storyful that she was filming herself because she was aware the seagulls were intrusive, but was still caught completely off guard when one actually robbed her of lunch.

“[It] scared me and caused me to scream, become completely stunned,” Reed said.

It’s a far cry from the old days at the Jersey Shore — when the only thing you had to watch out for flying in from out of nowhere was Snooki.
