‘Dereliction of Duty!’ Tomi Lahren Sides With Dem Governor on Mitch McConnell

Tomi Lahren agreed with Kentucky Gov. Andy Beshear (D) that something has to be done in response to Sen. Mitch McConnell’s (R-KY) extended absence from the public.

McConnell was first hospitalized June 14 after he was found unconscious in his home. Since then, the Kentucky senator has not been since in public. In fact, the only updates provided on his condition have been statements from his office and a pair of photos of himself with his wife. At the time of writing, McConnell continued to receive care.

His extended absence from the public eye has inevitably fueled conspiracy theories — with some even suggesting that McConnell has died.

In response to all of the questions surrounding McConnell’s condition, Beshear in late July announced an ultimatum for the senator.

“I am calling on you to directly and verbally address the people of Kentucky and provide proof of your capacity to serve,” Beshear said in a letter, “or resign.”

Joined by Rep. Tim Burchett (R-TN) on a recent episode of Tomi Lahren Is Fearless, Lahren called McConnell’s mysterious absence a “dereliction of duty.”

“I don’t like the fact that I’m like, ‘Oh, I kind of agree with Governor Andy Beshear on this,'” Lahren said, “but I think it’s the authentic and transparent thing to do to say we’re not being served by somebody who literally cannot serve. And people say, “Well, but he’s a Republican.” He’s not doing anything to my knowledge that makes him a true patriot.

“The fact that we have to get proof-of-life photos– how can some of these same people who talked about Joe Biden, Joe Biden, Joe Biden, Joe Biden, don’t say anything about the fact that we’ve got Mitch McConnell having to send proof-of-life photos with his wife? Tim, that should rub everybody the wrong way!”

Burchett called the lack of transparency “bogus” and claimed McConnell was being “protected” by a political “machine.”
