Kaitlan Collins Asks David Crowley the Question on Everyone’s Mind After Stunning Election Win Over Francesca Hong

CNN anchor and chief White House correspondent Kaitlan Collins asked what everyone was thinking on Wednesday night as she interviewed Wisconsin gubernatorial candidate David Crowley (D) following his upset over democratic socialist Francesca Hong in Tuesday’s Democratic primary.

Collins spoke with Crowley on The Source With Kaitlan Collins, a day after he overcame a 20-point polling deficit to win the contest by a razor-thin margin.

He will now face Trump-backed Republican Tom Tiffany in November’s election.

Hong generated a ton of scrutiny in the weeks leading up to the primary for several of her resurfaced social media hot takes, most notably her stance on Thanksgiving.

“Cancel Thanksgiving. Should have done this in 1621,” Hong posted in 2021. “If it takes a worldwide pandemic for us to realize we should stop celebrating colonialism and the original superspreader event that killed Indegenous [sic] folx [sic] and women so be it.”

As Collins’ interview with Crowley ended, she couldn’t resist sneaking in a question about his thoughts on the holiday.

“I mean, I have to ask: Where do you stand on Thanksgiving?” Collins asked with a smirk and a snicker.

“I like Thanksgiving,” Crowley replied, smiling. “My favorite dish is dressing. Chicken dressing. Chicken dressing from my sister-in-law.”

“OK, well, your sister-in-law is going to be happy with that answer,” she said.
