Laura Ingraham Offers Some Rare Praise for ‘Attractive’ AOC: ‘A Powerful Surface Appeal’

Fox News’ Laura Ingraham offered some rare praise for Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) on Thursday’s edition of The Ingraham Angle, calling her an “attractive millennial with a powerful surface appeal.”

The segment began with the Fox News host showing a clip of Ocasio-Cortez denying she’s thought about a 2028 presidential run, with Ingraham remarking, “I actually kind of believe her. I’m not sure she’s obsessing about it right now,” before adding, “Has she weighed anything seriously ever?”

Here, Ingraham was referencing the next-played clip of the congresswoman being questioned in 2018 on her use of the word “occupation” to describe Israel’s actions in Palestine, to which she responded, “I am not the expert on geopolitics on this issue.”

“Well, gotta give her credit,” Ingraham admitted. “She didn’t know much — still won. But the fact is, AOC is an attractive millennial with a powerful surface appeal. With her long, sleek raven hair and red lipstick, she’s at times played dual roles — kind of the earnest activist, up from her bootstraps, who wants to stick it to the man, and then at times, she’s kind of played the girly-girl who shares her favorite recipe on TikTok.”

“Okay, she should bring that back,” the Fox News host continued of Ocasio-Cortez’s food-focused online presence. “Okay? I like cooking videos. There’s nothing wrong with that. The question is, what is she cooking up with socialism?”

Despite her insistence that she hasn’t thought about 2028, a University of New Hampshire poll released Wednesday showed the congresswoman leading the pack of potential Democratic presidential nominees, with 22% support.

Former Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg finished a close second with 21%, while California Governor Gavin Newsom, former Vice President Kamala Harris, and Sens. Mark Kelly (D-AZ) and Bernie Sanders (I-VT) each received less than 10%.
