Pro-MAGA Pundit Has CNN Panel Howling With Laughter After Dropping Bonkers 2020 Take
Pro-MAGA pundit Caroline Sunshine had CNN’s Abby Phillip and others cracking up with her surprising reaction to watching administration nominees failing to provide yes or no answers to whether former President Joe Biden won the 2020 election.
Sunshine was one of the panelists on Wednesday’s CNN NewsNight where one of the final segments focused on Democratic senators earlier in the day grilling nominees of President Donald Trump on whether Biden won the 2020 election.
None could answer direct yes-or-no questions, and instead would say that Congress certified his win or some variation of that answer, angering senators.
“That’s just silly. It’s kind of dumb, I’m not gonna lie. Like, are we really going to do this?” Phillip said after playing the clips.
Sunshine, a former staffer in Trump’s first administration, also thought the whole thing was silly, but for an entirely different reason.
“It is so cringe watching these Democrats do this line of questioning,” she said, shocking Phillip, who laughed along with almost everyone else at the table.
“That’s what’s cringe?!” Phillip asked.
Sunshine barreled forward through the laughter and questions, comparing Democrats to a washed-up ’80s band.
“It’s like watching a band from the ’80s go, ‘Hey guys, we’re gonna play our greatest hits!’ It’s like, OK, you guys were good in the ’80s. There’s no crowd, nobody cares, they’re wearing the tight leather jeans, they look terrible, and you’re just like, ‘Wow, you guys are has-beens, this is all you have? This is all you got?'” she said.
It should be noted that Trump also brings up the 2020 election and continues pushing the theory that the results were fraudulent. There has been no proof of the sort of widespread fraud he still references today, six years later.
“Caroline, who won the 2020 election?” Phillip asked Sunshine.
“Oh, Joe Biden, but it was rigged by Big Tech,” Sunshine answered.
“You see how simple that was?” Phillip asked.
Sunshine continued blasting Democrats and told them to find “new material.”
Comedian and commentator Paul Mecurio asked why Trump nominees can’t just answer questions about 2020 simply, and argued the exchanges just turn voters off.
“This is what Americans get frustrated about, that our politicians have to spend this time asking these inane questions and getting inane answers, and that’s where people lose voters,” he said.
