Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-Ga.) on Thursday announced she was “completely denouncing” far-right activist Laura Loomer following an explosive exchange on social media.

The two went at it Wednesday after Loomer posted a tweet claiming the White House would “smell like curry” if Vice President Kamala Harris — whose mother was Indian — wins the election. Loomer also listed several other Indian stereotypes in the tweet, prompting Greene to call it “appalling and extremely racist.”

In response, Loomer called Greene a “raging anti-semite” and “trailer trash harpy.” She also accused Greene of being “extremely jealous and vindictive” and threatened to “expose” her.

Speaking to the media Thursday morning, Greene said she was “over it.”

“This is such an important election,” said Greene. “I don’t think she has the experience or the right mentality to advise a very important presidential election.”

Although Loomer doesn’t have an official role within Donald Trump’s campaign, there has been speculation that she may be advising the former president. She was seen arriving in Philadelphia on Trump’s plane ahead of Tuesday night’s debate, and also accompanied him to New York for 9/11 memorial events.

“I’m not involved in their conversations,” Greene continued, “so I can’t weigh in on that, but I do know this: that her rhetoric and her tone does not match the base, does not match MAGA, does not match most Republicans I know. And I am completely denouncing it. I’m over it, and I would encourage anyone else that matches her statements to stop.”
