Following the airing of Bill O’Reilly’s interview with President Donald Trump on FOX before the Super Bowl, additional portions of the interview were aired last light on Fox News’ The O’Reilly Factor.
As one would expect, O’Reilly saw a bump in his ratings due to the exclusive interview, and not only did he dominate his cable news competition, but Fox News actually beat out two broadcast network programs in the 8 PM ET time slot.
According to Nielsen, The O’Reilly Factor pulled in 4.5 million total viewers, with 868,000 of those viewers in the key 25-54 demographic. This far outpaced CNN’s Anderson Cooper 360, which brought in a total audience of 1.2 million, with 439,000 in the demo, and MSNBC’s All In with Chris Hayes, which totaled 1.6 million viewers and 332,000 in the demographic.
Considering the amount of grief Trump has given new Apprentice host Arnold Schwarzenegger over the program’s ratings woes, going so far as to use the National Prayer Breakfast to ask attendees to “pray for Arnold,” one wonders if the president will bring these numbers up the next time he takes to Twitter.
