Hillary Clinton Allegedly Protected Adviser Accused of Sexual Harassment

According to a just-published bombshell by the New York Times, Hillary Clinton protected an advisor during the 2008 election who had been accused of repeatedly sexual harassing a young female staffer.
The adviser’s name was Burns Strider and Clinton’s campaign manager at the time recommended that she fire him after the harassment complaints starting coming in. Clinton, however, did not let Strider go. Instead, he was docked several weeks pay and ordered to undergo mental counseling. The alleged victim was moved to another position in another office, as the article states.
Strider worked as Clinton’s faith advisor and co-founded the American Values Network — a progressive Christian lobbying group. He would send her scripture every morning, according to the Times and advise her on spiritual matters. He would also rub the 30-year-old alleged victim’s shoulders without permission, kiss her on the forehead and send her suggestive emails. She remains unnamed due to having signed an NDA.
Campaign manager Patti Solis Doyle is said to have taken the issue up with Clinton, urging her to fire him but, at that moment, she decided not to, eight former campaign officials allege.
Strider, however, was eventually fired, and Clinton’s legal team has released a statement on the matter.
“To ensure a safe working environment, the campaign had a process to address complaints of misconduct or harassment. When matters arose, they were reviewed in accordance with these policies, and appropriate action was taken,” the statement said. “This complaint was no exception.”
Strider has not responded to a Times email requesting clarification.
