Following a segment where he went back and forth with a Phoenix mayoral candidate over the value of immigrants to American society, Fox News’ Tucker Carlson brought on frequent guest Mark Steyn to weigh in on the matter. And boy, did he.
With Democrats pushing for a deal to protect DREAMers in the current spending bill, Steyn said that Democrats like Nancy Pelosi are “getting ever more explicit in their preference for illegal immigrants” over American citizens. The conservative commentator then addressed comments made by CNN’s Chris Cuomo to, I kid you not, come to the defense of white supremacists.
“Chris Cuomo went on to say that the real problem is white supremacists in America,” Steyn said. “They are the real monsters. Not these nice hard working illegal immigrants. That may be well and true.”
He continued, “I mean, for the purposes of argument let’s say he is right, it’s irrelevant. The white supremacists are American citizens. The illegal immigrants are people who shouldn’t be here.”
For the record, Steyn hails from Canada and was educated in the United Kingdom, hence the English accent.
Later on in the segment, he complained to Carlson that the majority of grade school children in Arizona are now Hispanic. “That means Arizona’s future is as an Hispanic society — that means in effect the border has moved north,” Steyn added.
Just another night on Tucker Carlson Tonight.
