‘Oh Boy!’ Watch NBC’s Steve Kornacki Scramble After Spilling Water All Over His Computer in the Middle of a Livestream

Water you so worried about?

Steve Kornacki’s primary night livestream briefly went off the rails on Tuesday when the network’s chief data analyst accidentally spilled a bottle of water all over his workstation.

Kornacki was discussing the Michigan Democratic primary race between Abdul El-Sayed and Rep. Haley Stevens with producer Adam Noboa when he tipped over a full water bottle on his computer, dousing the machine and various papers on the desk.

“Oh, I just spilled-” Kornacki exclaimed.

“Water spill,” Noboa said.

“The computer — I don’t want this thing to break,” Kornacki said, appealing for help off-camera. “Oh boy, the monitor went off!”

Kornacki repeatedly apologized for the blunder, as he scrambled to find something to sop up the water.

“Sorry, we just have to tend to this computer so it doesn’t-”

“Catch on fire?” Noboa interjected.

Kornacki, clearly stressed by the episode, eventually discovered some tissues to start a cleanup, but it was not enough, as his computer blacked out.

“Oh my Mac!” he lamented. “No!”

“Oh sheez, this is all the benchmarks,” Kornacki said, holding up a soaked, rolled-up sheet of paper to show Noboa.

Eventually, a crew member came to help out with some towels. Kornacki stepped away and tried to put the matter behind him as he continued with his analysis. — which he did, impressively, for another four hours as part of his personal record-long six hour live stream.

“Sorry, sorry about this,” he said. “OK, well, that was fun.”
