The big news in cable right now is all about Gretchen Carlson and her harassment suit against Fox News CEO Roger Ailes. All of Ailes’ top employees have been talking about it, defending their boss. Bill O’Reilly is the latest example.
O’Reilly, who settled his own sexual harassment suit for an undisclosed amount, defended Ailes during an interview on NBC’s “Late Night with Seth Meyers.” Last night, he gave his defense of Ailes to Meyers, joining the unified ranks of Harris Faulkner, Ainsley Earhardt, Jedediah Bila, Geraldo Rivera, and Greta Van Susteren, among other FNC employees.
“I stand behind Roger 100 percent …in this country, every famous, powerful or wealthy person is a target. You’re a target, I’m a target. Anytime, somebody could come out and sue us, attack us, go to the press or anything like that,” O’Reilly said.
