For the second time in four days, an Olympic boxer has been arrested on charges of sexually assaulting a worker in the Olympic Village.
Jonas Junias, a 22-year-old light welterweight from Namibia, was arrested Monday on charges of raping a maid — according to Brazilian newspaper O Globo.
The maid alleges that the boxer tried to grab her and kiss her, and also offered money in exchange for sex.
Junias is being held on the charges, and is all but certain to miss his scheduled bout on Thursday.
This arrest follows another on Friday, when Moroccan boxer Hassan Sada was detained by Brazilian authorities. He too is currently behind bars.
