State Rep (Sort Of) Walks Back Facebook Post About Clinton Facing Firing Squad
In a Facebook post a few days ago, Oklahoma state representative John Bennett suggested that Hillary Clinton should face a “firing squad.”

He shared a year-old article about Benghazi from Allen West, captioning it, “2 words. .. firing squad.” Calling for the death of a public official like Clinton never goes well — though it does happen fairly often — so Bennet was, of course, questioned about his proclamation. According to the Oklahoman, he is now saying the post, which has been deleted, was “sarcasm.”
He texted the Oklahoman, insisting that he was being sarcastic…but that Clinton is definitely guilty of treason, which is punishable by death.
“She has committed nothing less than treason by leaving fellow Americans to die in Benghazi,” Bennett said. “If anyone else had done that they would be charged with treason and thrown under the jail at a minimum, and a firing squad likely.”
In another text message Bennett said he “wouldn’t wish death on anyone. It just frustrates me to no end that these folks were abandoned in Benghazi.”
So, he was being sarcastic and doesn’t wish death on anyone but thinks that the firing squad is appropriate for someone who commits treason, which he believes Clinton did.
You may remember Bennett as the guy who said Muslims are fine but the ones who actually practice their religion aren’t to be trusted.
He is up for reelection in a few days.
