Trump Declares How to Defeat ISIS: ‘You Have to Take Out Their Families’

Oh Wednesday morning, undisputed GOP frontrunner Donald Trump called in to Fox & Friends to discuss his proposed policies to defeating the Islamic State. Trump also used the opportunity to further criticize the leadership of President Barack Obama, telling the Fox & Friends cohosts, “If you’re gonna do your job, do your job. Don’t talk about it,” referencing last Wednesday’s press conference on holiday safety.

“We have a President that doesn’t know what he is doing,” Trump continued.

Although Trump has made his viewpoints on defeating ISIS known in the past — he recently said he would “bomb the sh*t” out of the Islamic State’s caliphate — he heightened his rhetoric on Wednesday morning.

“I would knock the hell out of ISIS. I would hit them Brian so hard, like they’ve never been hit before,” Trump told Fox & Friends cohost Brian Kilmeade. When asked about civilian casualties, Trump said he would “try his best” to avoid them before offering, “And the other thing with the terrorists — you have to take out their families.”

The Fox & Friends cohosts sat in silence while Trump finished his thought. He continued, “When you get these terrorists, you have to take out their families! They care about their lives, don’t kid yourselves. They say they don’t care about their lives. But you have to take out their families.” Fox & Friends cohost Elisabeth Hasselbeck quickly changed the topic to immigration after the comment was made.
