Trump Bodyguard Went On McDonald’s Runs Because POTUS Didn’t Like WH Burgers
It was reported last week that longtime Trump bodyguard and former White House aide Keith Schiller was set to testify before Congress in the Russia Probe. His testimony, scheduled today before the House Intelligence Committee, is expected to be about the president’s 2013 Moscow trip and the notorious Steele dossier that details supposed Russian “kompromat” related to that visit.
Ahead of today’s testimony, Politico ran a profile piece on Schiller that contained some juicy details. One revelation that came out is that when Schiller was still at the White House, he use to make Mickey D runs when the staff at the White House couldn’t get the president’s food requests just right:
And when the White House kitchen staff couldn’t match the satisfaction of a quarter-pounder with cheese (no pickles, extra ketchup) and a fried apple pie, it was Schiller, bodyguard and Trump whisperer, who would head down New York Avenue to McDonald’s on a stealth fast food run.
Since Chris Christie didn’t get a White House post, I guess Schiller took it upon himself to make sure Trump got his favorite burgers.
White House officials also told Politico that they didn’t expect any big revelations from Schiller during his testimony today. They did, however, express concern that the very notion of one of Trump’s closest confidants being dragged before the committee could cause POTUS to grow aggravated while he’s in the middle of his 12-day Asia trip.
