Twitter Explodes After Trump Shrugs Off Kim Jong Un’s Savagery: He’s ‘in Awe of a Genocidal Tyrant’
When it comes to evil, brutal dictators, North Korea’s Kim Jong Un isn’t so evil and brutal!
At least, according to President Donald Trump, who told Fox News’ Bret Baier Wednesday that “so have a lot of other people done some really bad things” when reminded that Kim is a horrible person who starves and tortures his people.
“He’s a tough guy,” Trump said. “When you take over a country, tough country… I don’t care who you are, what you are… if you can do that at 27 years old, that’s one in 10,000 that could do that.”
“So he’s a very smart guy, he’s a great negotiator, but I think we understand each other,” he added.
Twitter was quick to jump on Trump for being so complimentary of and chummy with the despot:

Some say the road to hell is paved with good intentions. In truth, it is paved with moral relativism.
Trump’s notion that there is no such thing as good or truth, is a projection of his own lack of morality onto the world.
There is good. There is truth. We used to stand for it. https://t.co/apwKCUNCuK

Who’s to say a few giant concentration camps and murdered a American boy are bad? https://t.co/SuJbTyYZIU

This is wrong. The President should not be dismissive of genocide and mass murder. https://t.co/8rXiZ6xGkh

interesting and somewhat unexpected to see Trump pursuing the tankie demo this far in advance of 2020 https://t.co/LC10gBhmxt

Trump likes to use the word “killer” to describe people he respects. This time, the tag fits. https://t.co/fJsfOzHZ6X

Trump is in awe of a genocidal tyrant, admires him and excuses him. Sickening. Embarrassing https://t.co/XSm7ahNOyW

There is no depth he will not sink to. None. https://t.co/BVEGyALGEO

Some also pointed out that Trump’s defense of Kim was eerily similar to comments he made last year about Russian President Vladimir Putin:
Trump on Putin last year: “There are a lot of killers. You think our country’s so innocent?” https://t.co/o6mXvIZWML

Entirely in line with Pres. Trump’s defense of Putin. https://t.co/LSBnZnnlUc

This is exactly the same response Trump gave when Bill O’Reilly asked how he could back a killer like Putin. https://t.co/UShMU5rIJV
