WATCH: Flight Attendant Cracks Up Passengers with Joke-Filled Safety Presentation
This Southwest Airlines flight attendant has figured out a way to get passengers to pay attention to the pre-take off safety presentation: make it genuinely entertaining. Marty Cobb opened her routine by saying she’d had a “long day” and things escalated from there.
“My ex-husband, my new boyfriend and their divorce attorney are going to show you the safety features of this Boeing 737 800 series,” Cobb told the passengers, who immediately seemed to get on board with her schtick and start laughing. “Everybody gets a door prize in the seatback pocket in front of you — along with dirty diapers, chewing gum wrappers, banana peels and all other gifts you leave for us from time to time — it’s the safety information card.”
Have you ever seen people this happy on a plane?
Since the weekend, Cobb’s video has racked up nearly 350,000 views, thanks to a prime spot on Reddit, making her plea in the video’s title to meet Ellen DeGeneres and Jimmy Fallon all the more likely.
