Watch Some Guy Make a Bunch of Random Sports References in His Wedding Vows

screen-shot-2016-11-14-at-2-54-33-pm-1Eric Fawcett, a basketball writer from Alberta, Canada, and his bride decided to go all-in on a sports theme for their wedding. The bridesmaids and groomsmen wore basketball sneakers. The groom read his vows from a clipboard like that of a basketball coach.

And the vows themselves? All sports metaphors.

“From this day on, I promise to hold on to you like Kobe held on to the ball.

“I promise to be as loyal to you as Tim Duncan was to the Spurs.

“When life forces me to have a 25-57 season, and I come in last place in the league, I’ll always remember you’re my number one draft pick,”

That last one clearly got to the bride, who laughed and smiled. Nothing but net, Eric.
