NBC’s Meet the Press with Kristen Welker scored the number one Sunday news show for the second quarter of 2025 in the key 25-54 age demographic, leading among younger viewers for the entire season to date.

Welker scored an average of 435,000 viewers in the demo for the quarter, topping CBS’s Face the Nation and ABC’s This Week, which brought in 406,000 and 405,000 demo viewers, respectively. The show won the demo in both June and May, propelling it to the quarterly win. Meet the Press has now led ABC for three consecutive quarters and topped CBS for 3 of the last 4 quarters.

CBS still won out in total viewers with 2.7 million, while ABC landed in second place in total viewers with 2.4 million. NBC came in third overall with 2.34 million total viewers.

Welker’s interview with Democratic candidate for New York City mayor, Zohran Mamdani, also went viral over the weekend after Welker pressed Mamdani multiple times on the phrase “Globalize the Intifada,” which he refused to condemn.

Welker’s interview with Mamdani scored nearly 1 million views on YouTube, and over three million views on NBC’s TikTok account.
