Trump Admin Official Accuses Truth Social of ‘Blocking’ His Posts After Claiming He Teleported to a Waffle House 50 Miles Away

Gregg Phillips, the Trump administration official in charge of FEMA’s Office of Response and Recovery, accused President Donald Trump’s Truth Social of “blocking” his posts on Wednesday after claiming to have teleported to a Waffle House 50 miles away.

Phillips made headlines last month after it was revealed by CNN’s KFile that he had made a number of bizarre statements, including claims that he had teleported to a Waffle House 50 miles away.

“I was with my boys one time and I was telling them I was gonna go to Waffle House and get Waffle House,” said Phillips during a January 2025 interview. “And I ended up at a Waffle House. This was in Georgia and I end up at a Waffle House like 50 miles away from where I was.”

He continued, “They said, ‘That’s not possible, you just left here a moment ago.’ But it was possible. It was real.”

After his remarks went viral online, Phillips doubled down in a series of posts before accusing Truth Social – which was co-founded by Trump – of “blocking” his words.

“I’ve been trying to post a response to my friends on the most recent CNN hit on me. I’ve tried to post it six times,” complained Phillips in a post to Truth Social CEO and Chair of the President’s Intelligence Advisory Board, Devin Nunes. “Why are you blocking me and my ability to respond?”

In other posts doubling down on his teleportation claims, Phillips wrote, “God will not be mocked. People can debate me. Question me. Even ridicule what they don’t understand. But here’s a real question… What’s harder to believe? That God could move in a moment during a spiritual battle, or Jesus Christ rose from the dead and is coming again? I know what I’ve experienced. I know Who I serve.”

Phillips also shared a Bible passage about teleportation and reposted several other users’ comments defending his claims.

“Everybody is talking about your Waffle House expedition like they know how God moves. The Christians by name only are really showing their true colors,” wrote one supporter in a post shared by Phillips.

In other posts, Phillips claimed that his remarks had been taken “out of context.”

“It was completely out of context. I was dying of cancer and it was all part of my spiritual journey. I have no regrets for my words nor my faith in my Savior, Jesus Christ. The Bible has many examples of the power of God,” he wrote in one post.

In another, he added, “Out of context. This was a discussion during medical treatments in what we believed to be the last 3 months of my life. Some of the episodes we couldn’t show. The other translation [teleportation] was to a church.”
