Trump Will Likely Ramp Up Iran Strikes to ‘Avenge’ Two Dead Troops, Fox News Reporter Reveals

President Donald Trump will likely pummel Iran with more aggressive and frequent strikes to “avenge” the death of two American troops, according to Fox News correspondent Lucas Tomlinson.

His report came shortly after news broke on Saturday the two U.S. service members were killed in an Iranian missile strike on a base in Jordan a day earlier. One American soldier is also missing following the attack, Tomlinson reported.

“It’s a very challenging mission and operation for the U.S. military, it’s one of the reasons you’ve seen these strikes increase. The Trump Administration wants to reopen the Strait of Hormuz, the war has really been focused on this recently, and now you’ll likely see an increase in strikes to avenge the death of these two — and perhaps three — U.S. service members in the coming days,” Tomlinson said on Fox Report with Jon Scott.

He added that Trump officials believe there’s “no question that China and Russia are helping with the targeting of these bases in the region.”

Tomlinson added Iran has a lot of room to hide the drones it is using for its strikes, pointing out the country is twice as big as Texas.

The killing of the two soldiers on Saturday increases the U.S. death toll to 16 service members since the start of Operation Epic Fury; 13 of those deaths happened in the first few weeks of the conflict, which began Feb. 28. A Navy pilot also died in a helicopter crash in the Arabian Sea earlier this month.

U.S. Central Command posted the two Americans were killed while defending the Jordan base “against Iranian ballistic missile and drone attacks.” CENTCOM said four other service members were sent to Jordanian hospitals after the strikes.

President Donald Trump has not talked about or posted about the two troops as of 4:00 p.m. ET on Saturday.

Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth posted on X, “Godspeed, heroes. Their sacrifice only stiffens our resolve.”
