‘Tucker’s a Socialist’: Ex-Daily Wire CEO Warns Carlson’s New Movement Would Lead to ‘National Collapse’

Jeremy Boreing, the founder and former CEO of the Daily Wire, pulled no punches this week in slamming Tucker Carlson’s political manifesto, which the controversial podcaster released on Wednesday.

Boreing, who now hosts his own podcast, previewed his livestream reaction to Carlson’s 90-minute monologue with a supercut of his recent criticisms of the fired Fox News host. Carlson’s recent public statements have led to increasing speculation that he will mount an independent presidential run in 2028 from the hard right.

“I think Tucker Carlson is part of a small cohort of people trying to create a new American majority premised on left-wing economic populism and right-wing social populism. Tucker is trying to create a new American majority out of left-wing economic populism and right-wing social populism. He says that his favorite Democrats are Elizabeth Warren and Bernie Sanders. Tucker is obviously engaged in a political project,” Boreing says in the clip.

“It’s sort of like a European, mid-20th-century European right-wing socialist movement. Tucker’s a socialist” he declared.

“If Elizabeth Warren would just be against gay marriage and abortion, she would be the dream presidential candidate of Tucker Carlson,” he adds in the mash-up of his takes, which also includes, “If you’re going to build a coalition that is right-wing social populism and left-wing economic populism, you have to separate off evangelicals from the American right. You separate off evangelicals from the American right by making the American right oppose Israel. I think Tucker has a vision for the country—I just think it’s a very, very bad one.”

Boreing later shared his take on Carlson’s manifesto, which included a 10-point set of values for reclaiming the America of Carlson’s dreams.

“We don’t need a new America movement. We don’t need a political party premised on left-wing economics and right-wing social policy. We need, I hate to say it, the good old USA. We need our… we need the ideals of the Declaration as ensconced in the systems of the Constitution,” Boreing said, adding:

We need the civic virtue that we have lost. We need a reconstruction of the institutions, which, after Covid, did fail us. They’d been failing us for years, corrupted for years. And in 2020, they revealed themselves to be very corrupt.

And the answer is a restoration of them. And the power to restore them is in the hands of every single one of us. It’s not national change — it’s not some great podcaster’s gonna launch a new political party and maybe run for president. Your hope is not outside; your hope is in your actions. Go do something about it. Every one of us can do something about it. If we do, we can keep the country. If we don’t, the Tucker path is not going to lead us to a restoration of American virtue.

It’s going to lead to the very thing that he claims we’re going to get if we don’t follow him — which is national divorce, national ruin, national collapse, national violence. That’s our future — ironically — if we continue to listen to the politics of despair and long for some sort of revolutionary future, instead of just doing what Americans have been doing for 250 years, which is being American.

Carlson, who recently boasted about starting a third party, has very publicly broken with President Donald Trump in recent months over the way in Iran. Carlson’s post-Fox News media career has included a bevy of headline-grabbing claims, everything from promoting 9/11 trutherism to suggesting the government was behind January 6th to saying he was physically attacked by a demon.
