BlazeTV’s Eric Bolling Launches New Show on Sinclair and His First Guest is a Doozy
Eric Bolling, formerly of Fox News, is one of BlazeTV’s highest profile personalities. And starting today he’ll be even more so, when his new show for Sinclair launches.
Mediaite has learned that the weekly program, titled America This Week, airs at 7 p.m. on Wednesday and will cover politics, of course, and the news in general. Bolling promises to hold the “mainstream media and the powerful accountable,” a recurring theme on his BlazeTV show as well.
The first episode will be jam-packed with figures from the president’s orbit: Wednesday’s premier episode features an explosive interview with former Trump adviser Steve Bannon. Former Trump campaign manager Corey Lewandowski and Lara Trump, the president’s daughter-in-law and 2020 campaign staffer, will also appear for interviews.
Each week there will also be a segment featuring two mainstream “straight news” reporters covering the stories of the week. It will be no opinion, no spin, just facts.
Sinclair itself has been accused of partisan slant over the last few years. It already airs political segments on its network of local TV stations, including one with their chief political commentator and former Trump adviser Boris Epshteyn. His recurring segment, Bottom Line with Boris, has been the subject of ongoing controversy, not to mention expense.
Bolling is no stranger to controversy, having left Fox News after allegations of lewd conduct, which Bolling did and does deny. And he’s faced down more than his fair share of critics, even a monstrous encounter with someone mocking the death of Bolling’s son.
Since his son’s passing from an accidental overdose after being given an opioid-laced pill, Eric Bolling has been out in front in the fight against the worsening opioid epidemic. He speaks out on the subject frequently and participates in charity and awareness events. He emphasizes that it is not a partisan issue and that everyone in America should be working together on the terrible problem.
With his new show airing on Sinclair stations across the country, and his current show one of BlazeTV’s most popular, there is little doubt he’ll cover the topic and reach many more viewers, including, presumably, some who are in need or facing the problem on a personal level.
The new show, and interviews with Bannon, Lewandowski, and Lara Trump airs tonight at 7 p.m. ET.
