Chris Wallace: I’m Surprised By How ‘Bitchy’ the Comey Book Is

Fox News anchor Chris Wallace spoke quite bluntly about former FBI Director James Comey‘s new book Friday morning.

Wallace admits that he may be the “only person in America” who hasn’t seen a copy of A Higher Loyalty, but based off reports that pulled various excerpts, he was shocked at “how little new there is” in regards to big revelations.

“We get a lot of opinions, very unpleasant opinions of the president by James Comey, but in terms of hard facts, you know, people talking about ‘bombshells,’ there are none,” Wallace declared. “Basically, everything that he said in terms of the facts of what the president did, he already has testified before congressional committee. And in fact at one point, he says while he thinks the president’s behavior may have been unethical, it may not have been illegal.”

He then made another observation that even took America’s Newsroom anchor Sandra Smith by surprise.

“The other thing that surprises me, frankly, is how bitchy the book is,” Wallace said.

Yes, bitchy.

The Fox News Sunday anchor went on to explain his reasoning for that comment.

“Comey goes out of his way to say that the president isn’t as tall as he thought he was, he checked out the size of his hands, the first time they shook hands that he noticed that the president seemed to have little white half moons under his eyes. maybe he had suntanning goggles that he wore. You know, I think one could argue that by getting into the kind of political food fight that James Comey has done more damage to his own reputation than he has done to President [Donald] Trump‘s.”
