Don Lemon Confronts Franklin Graham: Why Was Clinton’s Behavior a Problem But Not Trump’s?
On CNN tonight, Don Lemon faced off with Franklin Graham over Evangelical support of President Trump amid the growing coverage of his alleged Stormy Daniels affair.
Lemon asked, “Why do you think Evangelicals were so willing to call out, say, Bill Clinton‘s behavior but not President Trump’s?”
Graham said Clinton’s bad behavior happened while he was in office, while Trump’s “alleged affairs” took place years ago and he’s “changed quite a bit since then.”
Lemon shot back by pointing to Trump’s tweets, the women who came forward during the election, and the fact that the hush money to Daniels was reportedly given in 2016.
Graham defended Trump and, when Lemon brought up the “shithole countries” remarks, said the President is a businessman, not a politician, who uses “rough language.”
He even went so far as to say he thinks “God put him there” in the White House.
