Fox News’ Marie Harf Confronts Jason Chaffetz For Spreading Conspiracies: ‘Do Not Repeat That For Our Viewers’

Following the explosive White House clash between President Donald Trump and Democratic leaders Nancy Pelosi and Chuck Schumer, the fireworks continued on the Fox News midday show Outnumbered.

Congressman-turned-pundit Jason Chaffetz kicked things off by baselessly accusing Democrats of not favoring border security, and instead “encouraging on the caravan” and wanting to “shut down ICE.”

“That’s not true,” Fox News host Marie Harf replied. “Neither of those things are true.”

“It is absolutely true!” Chaffetz exclaimed. “It is 100 percent true! It is human trafficking!”

“Can you let me respond?” Harf asked.

“You were the one that interrupted me!” Chaffetz snapped.

Harf’s co-host Harris Faulkner agreed: “You interrupted a former congressman and he’s calling you on it.”

“When he says things that aren’t accurate on TV, I’m going to interrupt [him],” Harf said.

“What’s inaccurate?” Chaffetz asked.

“The Democratic caucus does not support shutting down ICE,” Harf said. “Individual members talk about it, the caucus does not.”

“Second, the Democratic party is not supporting the caravan, that is a conspiracy theory that has been repeatedly debunked online, do not repeat it for our viewers,” she added.

Chaffetz continued: “Well, I wholeheartedly believe, in my heart –”

Harf jumped in: “There’s no evidence. In your heart you might feel that, there’s no evidence. No evidence, no evidence, none, none.”

Eventually, Chaffetz simmered down, offering a limp, “We disagree on that one.”
