View Hosts Fight Over Cohen Tape, Playboy, and Bill Clinton: What Happened to the GOP’s Family Values?
The View got into it this morning over the news of President Donald Trump on tape with Michael Cohen talking about a payment to former Playboy model Karen McDougal.
McDougal has alleged Trump had an affair with her, and the existence of this tape––confirmed by Rudy Giuliani––has put this issue back in the spotlight.
The big question for Meghan McCain is whether there were any campaign finance laws broken. She and Sunny Hostin talked about the big question of the Enquirer‘s involvement before Hostin brought up the GOP’s family values.
Shouldn’t people with “traditional values,” she asked, care that Trump had an affair right after his wife gave birth?
Joy Behar said they clearly don’t, saying Democrats aren’t hypocritical on this issue but Republicans are because they call themselves the “family party.”
McCain reiterated that she doesn’t “care as much about his personal life and which Playboy bunny he slept with” as she does about Iran and North Korea.
Hostin at one point asked how Trump could be loyal to America is he can’t be loyal to his wife.
As McCain and Behar went back-and-forth, Behar acknowledged that Pence would probably be fine, “compared to this guy.”
Inconceivable that the government would break into a lawyer’s office (early in the morning) – almost unheard of. Even more inconceivable that a lawyer would tape a client – totally unheard of & perhaps illegal. The good news is that your favorite President did nothing wrong!
