BBC News Host Surprised As Guest Joined By Cat In Live Interview
Early morning BBC News viewers were in for a feline surprise this morning when guest Justin Urquhart-Stewart’s cat became an unexpected star of the show.
Host Lukwesa Burak, discussing the impact of Houthi attacks on shipping vessels in the Red Sea, welcomed Urquhart-Stewart who runs private investment platform Regionally to find an additional guest on screen in the form of cat Betty.
Making a slip on the name, host Burak thanked Urquhart-Stewart for joining the show and smiled as she extended that welcome to “Moggy.”
Burak later admitted to feeling a bit embarrassed for not knowing the cat’s actual name.
Although the BBC journalist was taken off guard, Urquhart-Stewart is known for frequently including his cat in live news interviews. Betty, the cat, has now become somewhat of a regular feature.
