Axe-Wielding Assailant Injures 10 to 15 in German Train Attack

An assailant wielding an axe and a knife injured some 10 to 15 people, three of them seriously, on a train in Germany Monday night. The attacker was shot dead by police as he attempted to flee.

The attack occurred on a train in Heidingsfeld, near Würzburg, police said.

“Police said it is too early to determine a motive or whether the incident might be terrorism related,” NBC reported.
