Abortion Doctor Killer Scott Roeder Speaks At Sentencing

Today, Scott Roeder was sentenced to life in prison after shooting Dr. George Tiller, a Kansas late-term abortion doctor, in last May. Roeder took the opportunity of his public appearance to read off a statement condemning the courts for the hypocrisy in “a man is allowed to speak openly and freely at his sentencing but not…at his trial.” He defended his actions and the process by which he came to believe he was justified in the murder, which he claimed made “Wichita is a far safer place for unborn babies.”

Roeder sentence does not allow a parole hearing for the next 25 or 50 years, meaning that the 52-year old former airport driver will most likely die in prison.

I’m with you Marcus. The way so many judges these days seem to go all mushy brained when it comes to sentencing I was glad to see him get the max.

Although I support the verdict and sentence Tiller himself repulsed me. With the state of modern medicine I can’t conceive of anyone making a career of aborting virtually all viable infants.

At what point will society condemn the rhetoric and behavior of a vicious, shortsighted minority? Serving a mandatory 50 years of a life sentence seems lenient.

I see no reason to change the focus from Roeder, as Janet has done.

I applaud the sentence.

I also pray for Roeder in the hell he must now endure, and I pray for this family and Dr. Tiller’s family.

As an aside, I give high marks to the media as a whole for the later coverage of this trial. We seem to have progressed well from the days of O’Reilly’s inflammatory remarks.

Just another very common GOPster, muttering a mangled misinterpretation of the Bible. Indoctrination thru repitition. Tern off your brain, and join in the destruction of thought and the Bible as a Document of Control of the rancid masses. “Abortion” is used like a hand grenade. Cafeteria Christians. Deep in the Manger with Pat Robertson, Jimmy Swaggart, Jerry Falwel. Other latter-day “saints.” Neo-Fascists disguised as Christian Republicans.
