Baltimore Ravens’ Ray Lewis Chastises Rioters: ‘No Way This Can Happen in Our City!’
Ray Lewis, who spent 17 years on the Baltimore Ravens before retiring at the end of the 2012-2013 season, posted an emotional video to his Facebook account on Tuesday that challenged the people of his city to stop rioting against police. In just four hours, the video has been viewed close to 10 million times.
“No way, no way, no way this can happen in our city,” Lewis said into the camera. “Young kids, you’ve got to understand something. Get off the streets! Violence is not the answer, violence has never been the answer!”
Lewis expressed the same message on Twitter:
No way, No way this can happen in our city…
