Everyone’s favorite Arizona senator, John McCain, tweeted to everyone’s favorite member of Jersey Shore this afternoon: the one and only Snooki. What’s even better is that he made a political jab and a pun all in the same 140 characters!

McCain was responding to Snooki’s assertion in a preview for the next season of Jersey Shore during which she said: “I don’t go tanning-tanning anymore because Obama put a 10 percent tax on tanning…He did that because of us.”

McCain then tweeted:

@Sn00ki u r right, I would never tax your tanning bed! Pres Obama’s tax/spend policy is quite The Situation. but I do rec wearing sunscreen!

Hear that, Obama? The tweet would have earned McCain Snooki’s vote no doubt. But alas, two years too late.

Whether the appropriate reaction is to laugh or bang your head against a wall is up to you to decide.
