Beck is 100% right — or rather one of his sidekicks was, when he correctly noted this was not Olbermann or Maddow slipping up. This was Brewer as she hosted a NEWS hour of programming, and not an OPINION show.

Ironically, if Brewer had simply started the interview by asking an obvious introductory question or two, such as you’d expect a PROPER journalist (“So, for our viewers at home, you represent such-and-such district? And you’ve been in the House for X amount of time?”)…

…And then if she had basically paraphrased the exact same question (“And since we’ll be discussing the Debt Ceiling and economics, do you have a background in finance or business?”), at that point she might have been okay. Because she would have been simply SETTING UP the segment to come.

But come on — give me a freakin’ break.

As it actually happened instead — and as you watch the segment unfold — it’s actually CRINGE INDUCING to watch Brewer get visibly more and more flustered on screen…to see her flying off more and more frantically at the mouth, trying to push back against the Congressman…all the while spewing nothing more than prepackaged Liberal talking points over and over. At which point, when she asked the infamous question, it’s OBVIOUS that she was going for an angry slam against the Congressman, now hoping to win the argument simply by trying to PERSONALLY belittle him.

Hell, her rebuttal points were SO one-sided, she might as well have been reading straight off a DNC press release. Or maybe Media Matters and the Soros people sent her the material. Hey, given that we’re talking about MSNBC, that wouldn’t surprise me at all since — after the Andrew Breitbart incident — that’s clearly where Martin Bashir gets all of HIS material from.

Now, Chrissy Mathews caught Walsh mistaking US government numbers for the GDP, but I am not talking general numbers, I am talking specifics like manufacturing etc. Those I would get caught lacking specific numbers, but I would hold strong on macro numbers for the government and the economy.
