Brian Ross and the entire staff of Good Morning America were dancing for joy Wednesday morning (at least on the inside), as a company they had been dogging with allegations for some time were hit with a large criminal complaint. “A year after we first raised questions about the company’s sales practices here on Good Morning America,” Ross said, “local officials in Los Angeles have filed a 19-count criminal complaint alleging misdemeanor fraud and theft by the company.”

While only time will tell in us seeing whether or not George Soros will bring about a terrifying One World Government, the jury seems to have a verdict ready on one of Glenn Beck’s other pet predictions: that whole gold thing. With prices of gold on the rise, it looks like Beck might be able to put this one in the win column. Of course, Beck wasn’t going to stoop to explicitly saying a big fat “I told you so” on national television. Nope. He let SNL’s Bill Hader do it for him.

Sometimes it’s nice to start the day on a lighter note. To that end: Mr. T has ‘attacked’ Glenn Beck over his connection with Goldine. By ‘attacked’ (“not literally, if that were the case Glenn would be in the hospital”) we mean Mr. T thinks he would be a better spokesperson for gold than Beck.

A short addendum to last night’s post about Rick Sanchez and Rep. Anthony Weiner discussing the ongoing controversy surrounding Goldline, the company that sells gold coins, and boasts Glenn Beck as an endorser. Weinerfacts.com, “world wide weiner web” jokey site that Beck and company launched back in May to counter Weiner’s accusations by mocking, him is still going strong.

On CNN’s Rick’s List tonight, Rick Sanchez invited on Congressman Anthony Weiner to discuss his continuing crusade against Goldline and their celebrity endorsers like Glenn Beck. Sanchez explained to his viewers that he was doing the segment because some of them may be “confused” by what their hearing about gold. One can’t help but wonder if the real reason though, was to try to stake out some territory in the fight against his new primetime rivals.

Early last week, New York Congressman Anthony Weiner accused Glenn Beck of fraud in combination with one of his most popular sponsors, Goldline. Those who guessed Weiner would become a chalkboard regular were wrong; Beck reverted to his morning zoo radio roots and dedicated a website to the Congressman… and hot dogs. And yesterday, on his regular visit to The O’Reilly Factor, he even brought a wiener along to consume on the air, to advertise his #1 Google-searched site, WeinerFacts.com.

Dylan Ratigan is really hoping to topple Glenn Beck during the early evening. He’s tried the red-phone-and-chalkboard before, and even brought in some muppets for good measure, but today he felt the need to attack the competition head-on, joining Rep. Anthony Weiner‘s crusade against Goldline international and calling Beck a “snake-oil salesman” and “scumbag” for being sponsored by them.

Fight fire with….wieners? Glenn Beck dropped what has felt like a days-long rant against century-old politicians and reverted to fighting form tonight to push back against accusations from New York Rep. Anthony Weiner that Beck and Goldline, which sponsors his show, were running a racket and “ripping off customers.”

New York Congressman Anthony Weiner sounded the war drums against Glenn Beck and other conservative talk radio hosts this morning by releasing a report accusing prominent advertiser Goldline of “ripping off” its customers. Beck’s reaction this morning was a reminder to his audience of two previous organized boycotts on his show and making references to McCarthyism, and tonight, Keith Olbermann invited Weiner over to respond.

Stephen Colbert took some time last night to address the phenomenon that is the conservative media’s apparent support of gold: Glenn Beck, Laura Ingraham, Bill O’Reilly all shill for gold as a good investment. “Conservative talk and gold” says Colbert, “go together like Obama and a Hitler moustache.” Youch!
