23 Americans Reportedly Among Those Killed in MH17 Crash

Various media reports indicate that as many as 23 American citizens were on MH17, which went down in the volatile Eastern Ukraine near the Russian border.

Other (unverified) reports indicated that of the 295 passengers on the plane, 80 were children and 9 were British citizens.

During a press conference, a US State Department spokeswoman said that the reports of American deaths were still unconfirmed.
