Fallon Celebrates Final Late Night: ‘I’m Really Gonna Miss Being on TV at 12:37’

Jimmy Fallon kicked off his final Late Night Friday night with a fond look back at his time at the show and how excited he is to be taking the reins of The Tonight Show and taking his loyal audience and the Roots crew with him.

Fallon said he’s “really gonna miss being on TV at 12:37” and bade a fond farewell to his rivals “Craig Ferguson and a veggie chopper infomercial.” Fallon gave a cursory summation of every single monologue joke he’s told over the course of Late Night, involving Joe Biden, Chris Christie, and Rob Ford.

Fallon thanked all the people involved in the show, from the crew to announcer Steve Higgins to The Roots to all their supportive fans. He gave special thanks to David Letterman and Conan O’Brien for keeping Late Night afloat before he came along, and reminded viewers his tag-team partner Seth Meyers is jumping aboard soon enough.
