Hmm… Sarah Palin: North Korean Missile Launch A Reminder To Work On ‘Energy Independence’

video

The death of North Korea tyrant Kim Jong Il has elicited a variety of responses from political figures on this hemisphere. Tonight on Follow the Money, Sarah Palin weighed in on both the death of the dictator and the missile launch shortly after in North Korea, and told host Eric Bolling she saw the danger as a reminder that America must focus on being secure, which means “energy independence” and “solvency with our economy.”

RELATED: Sarah Palin Tells Fox Business Network That ‘It’s Not Too Late’ To Jump Into The GOP Race

Bolling brought up the subject after some talk on the current debates in Washington which would, later, come around to the drone situation with Iran. But before then, he asked Palin for some thoughts on North Korea, and she began by asking for prayer “for some united there on that peninsula”– both for the well-being of those on the island politically and a government “that would allow the people of North Korea to have some food.” She also noted the short-range missile recently fired under the new leadership of the young and seemingly equally-unstable Kim Jong Un, describing it as “a firing shot across the bow to show the rest of the world that ‘we’re still here.’” To Palin, this was a reminder to be “wise in our foreign policy decisions,” and to take steps “for America to be secure, and that comes back to energy independence, that comes back to solvency with our economy… to make sure that we’re not reliant on other countries.” She concluded that America must make sure to continue “sweeping our own porch.”

These last comments concerned Bolling in light of the leadership of President Obama, “who has been apologetic towards the Muslim world,” particularly with Iran. “If [Kim Jong Un] is playing war games the first day in office,” Bolling argued, that was not a good sign, and “maybe it’s time to get a tougher president.” Palin replied in the affirmative, making the argument that the President had said as a candidate that he was open to talks with rogue nations, and that should have been a sign then that his policies would be what they are.

    Dumber than a rock.

    Excellent summary.

  • Anonymous

And not afraid to prove it!

  • Anonymous

Dumb enough to satisfy the requirements of being GOP queenmaker.  That’s all that matters to the know-nothing party.

    Incredible.

Do you think she could find North Korea on a map? Two to one she can’t.

    What the hell?

    Who pulled her string?

Palin doesn’t understand that different questions tend to provoke different answers.

PLEASE Granny Sarah, do something for the American people for a change instead of reality TV shows to keep up with your (and Bristol’s) elitist Hollywood lifestyle. Stay on your porch and keep looking for that missile from So. Korea and let us know when it’s coming. Also please warn us if you see Putin’s head over your back yard again. They also could be landing in seaplanes on that dead Lake Lucille that you call the “family pond”. Don’t forget all those pedophiles on their snowmobiles trying to look into your little girls’ windows. Thank you.

She looks like a flying Nun in that outfit.

Boy, she drops one little hint and suddenly the incessant word parsing begins.  Boy does this gal have power.

  • Anonymous

    She’s still kinda hot…so there’s that.

  • AMP2020

Wow. Sarah is bringing new definition to the word incoherent.

But for everyone that says she’s dumb, I really don’t think you need to be all that smart to understand how dangerous North Korea is. She gets that.

This guy Bolling is such a partisan HACK though. Man, he bitches and bitches like no other. He and Palin going on about having a “tougher” president really holds no water. Obama clearly plays a tame game in public but unleashes drone missiles like a cowboy… You gotta know when to rake Obama and when to keep your mouth shut.

That being said, N.K. can’t be allowed to just fire missiles off whenever they want without consequence.

Like someone else said: no money, no organization, no skill, no debates, no clues, no ability to think, much less speak, on her feet….they just ignore the fact that she is also in the news cuz Survivor guy is pitching a sequel to Sarah’s Alaska.

First of all I didn’t see the clip and I only rely on your analyst,so when I did see the clip I knew exactly what she was talking about. She was talking about China having the purse string of North Korea and America dealing with China.Instead of us dealing with China who we need for our own bills we can start drilling for oil to pay our bills, because China is helping a rouge country like North Korea who we know hates America. She saying we should’t rely on countries who are helping rouge countries.

Frances loves to hate Palin – honestly, Obama claims he was in Texas when he was in Kansas, and Frances can’t bring herself to write a headline on it, but she can take Palin out of context time and time and time again and think this makes her smarter than anyone else.
    Geez.

Gorgeous Gov. Sarah Palin is expert on energy issues, fearless & forthright on foreign policy. She is bold, brilliant, beautiful. Proud patriots stand to attention and swell with pride when she speaks. Palin/2012!

    It’s her most endearing quality.

  • The Real Royal Emperor

    Thank you.

  • The Real Royal Emperor

You have to admit, it’s very inconvenient. She does most of her thinking when she he emptying cans of Aqua Net and burning a hole in the ozone layer. While that’s a considerable portion of her day, the Half-Baked Alaskan has never been a great multi-tasker. Remembering to keep that finger on the nuzzle consumes much of her brain power.

  • The Real Royal Emperor

With a big, showy cross around her neck, seated in front of a Christmas tree, no less. You have to admit this grifter knows all the tricks. But, a nun? With several pounds of make-up? What, did we just have a Vatican III?

  • The Real Royal Emperor

She’s actually the brighter of the two.

Okay, if you could put that together then why couldn’t she?  She hasn’t had a back operation, like the newest dumb ass from Texas, so she wasn’t on pain killers. Anyway, keep tossing her a lifeline, maybe one day she’ll win that who wants to be a millionaire show.

First of all, it was a cowardly ass George “C-” Bush, who invaded a defenseless Iraq, I mean I-Raq (I forgot that most of you rednecks, hillbillies and southerners can’t pronounce certain things properly), which was not a threat and let NoKo slide.  Poor Japan, those crazy son’s of bitches routinely fire missiles over its air space and we do nothing about it.  Had that been the modern Zionist state of Israel, we would’ve doubled our shipment of cluster bombs and would’ve shared our intel for their latest invasion.  Anyway, it is funny watching the Caribou Twist on television.  I wonder if in the back of her mind she’s still thinking about banging Glenn Rice

Have you ever heard of the Drudge Report?  Maybe you should read those articles instead.

  • The Real Royal Emperor

Usually, Tina only reads headlines and looks at the pictures. That can be very confusing with Drudge. The headlines and the photos often have little or nothing to do with the story. I’d say a perfect choice for Tina! She is indebted to you.

As a Texan, not necessarily a Southerner, I can say that my favorite dialectical pronunciations are:

    nuke-a-lar
    mary-juan-y
    dee-fence
    gas-a-lean
Guf, as in the Guf of Mexico
    purdy, as in “Purdy Woman”
poe-lease, as in the Houston Poe-lease Department
    Massa-two-shits
gnar-lens, as in “Riding on the City of Gnar-lens”
    guv-nur.

I also like the inability to distinguish among Mary, marry and merry.

    But, you’re right, Eye-rack (and Eye-ran) is/are good, as is Eye-tal-yun.

I trust you do realize that, while we have more than our fair share of Crackers in Texas, some of us revert to these pronunciations to give the Yankees that which they seek. One of my favorite stories is that when Lyndon was in the White House, getting ready for the election, Lady Bird was with the caterers and musicians. She was a well-educated and articulate woman who had a natural Texas accent with soft vowels she stretched endlessly and a natural fear of hard consonants. When the entourage arrived at the Ranch, she commanded, “Come on y’all, the Yankees are here.”

  • Anonymous

Yes she should write a whole story on a slip of the tongue.

  • Anonymous

Define “Patriot”…Does military service count even if one thinks she is an absolute idiot?
You are always entitled to your opinion. In my opinion, she is neither bold nor brilliant. She has zero expertise on any matter. The only thing that possible matches your assessment is that she is a very pretty woman.

Not at all.  The ultimate Palin hottie clip is her commenting on Todd’s ’95 (?) win in the Ididerod.  She was really pretty. But why in hell would I vote for someone just because they were attractive?  That’s like saying Pamela Anderson would make a better President than  Ben Stein.

They have done three-dimensional, aerial studies with ultra-violet cameras from very high altitude.  There is a perceptible cone of ignorance above Palin’s location on the Earth’s surface that can actually be plotted on a graph, fluctuating on what she is talking about at that particular moment.

It’s not too late? The last Fox poll 3 months ago indicated that 73% of republicans rejected her ass. In terms of her statement about energy indepdendence, she’s part of the drill baby drill crowd. How the hell are ever going to have energy independence while creating millions of jobs by staying with oil when China and Northern Europe are quickly going to alternative clean energy sources. She’s thinking 40 years in the past. We should have started getting off oil in 1974 after the Arab Oil Embargo.

Quintessential quitter Sarah Palin’s erroneous espousings on economical elements and fallible façade on foolishly flawed and failed foreign policy permeates putridly in the palate of proud patriots.  It is impossible to render recognition of her ridiculous ramblings, sanctimonious spewing, and vapid vocalizations without experiencing empathy or embarrassment, or elation over her emptyheadedness.

Who is “dumber than a rock” and why?

Palin made some excellent points in the beginning…She spoke about the two Koreas possibly coming together…And as a matter of FACT, when I was stationed in S. Korea in 1987, the KATUSA’s expressed much interest in making the country whole again, and blamed America for the fact that they were divided.

We’ve known for years that N.Korea has been starving…the Army is not, the people in power aren’t, but many of the peasants are…

Isn’t that such an odd and old fashioned word today…Peasants? The poor people, struggling.

I’m sorry, I really don’t understand your comment…”before the righties wake up”?  And “Obama 57 states?

I am a right winger, a Conservative Republican leaning toward Independent…
and I really like Palin; she galvanized the people (like me) that were VERY unhappy with a John (Crazy) McCain nomination, for the GOP…

Barack and his 57 states can go back to Kenya.

  • Tan

    1. ‘some united on that peninsula’

what? That sentence is non-sensical. She can’t string a sentence together in the only language she knows. That makes her an unbelievable moron. This isn’t a once off but usually happens several times a minute when she speaks. It’s not cool to support that.

    2. Why is the missile launch in any way related to America’s economic
security? That’s an idiotic response and telling of someone that cannot think on their feet and respond to perhaps unexpected questions or even expected questions on any level. Young children can think on their feet better than that and formulate at least some sort of intelligent response that is actually relevant.

If you can’t see the stupidity inherent here, no one can help you, you are a hopeless case, sorry.

  • Tan

She would except she’s ineligible. Stein is an evil hack that intentionally spreads lies about science and the non religious. Do you know he has said ‘science leads to death and Nazism’ despite benefitting from scientific discovery his whole life? Demonising scientists and editing their statements to make them seem evil and misleading about the origins of life? Also, he still defends Nixon to this very day and claims he was a good president. The man is a traitor to your country, hiding behind his monotone schtick for laughs when really there’s a monster behind the facade.

  • Tan

Hahaha that’s why when she was on the oil advisory board in Alaska she was such a disaster and in so far over her head that after she QUIT (surprise surprise) after a matter of months of humiliation, the Alaska House had to quickly pass a law to prevent such a disaster from happening ever again? That the bill was nicknamed the ‘No more Sarah Palin’s Bill’? Bahahahahahah!!!!

Yeah she’s such an expert. That’s why AGIA (her energy bill) is now a running joke in Alaska bc it never got off the ground? And yet Sarah CONTINUES to LIE about it and pretend she ‘built that pipeline up there is Alaska’ and made Alaska energy independent? When really there is NO pipeline?

What a joke you are! Also, it really seems like the only reason so many men like her is her looks. She’s nearly 50 and in 10 years won’t look so hot. What then? I would put good money on her being long forgotten then. A distant joke.

  • Tan

    Oh god, I say ‘mack-donnels’ and ‘guv-na’ and ‘nuke-lar’.

But I’m Australian. Can’t help it.

  • Tan

    Spot on?

Can you translate this for me? ‘some united on that peninsula’

What does that mean? The only way that makes sense is if she forgot a whole word ‘some united BLANK….’ like ‘some united front…’

OR she said ‘united’ when ‘unity’ is what she was looking for.

So again, how is that ‘spot on’? She can’t even form a coherent sentence! Is that really enough for you? Do you think that level of English is justifiable in a political leader, or god forbid the US President? Because I’d think a true patriot would want someone who can communicate well, and has a high level of knowledge. Not someone that uses united in place of unity, or forgets important words in sentences, and offers up word salads on a daily basis. Either she’s dumb, or she doesn’t want to answer the question and thinks word salads that confuse people are good enough to fool you. Either way you should reject her.

Ok. This is the 2nd time I’m replying to you…Somehow, my fingers that weren’t moving, managed to send me onto a whole new stream-computers suck.

    Now, back to your reply:

First: Question to you-Have you never lost your “train” of thought on a particular discussion?  Especially, when you’ve started, and suddenly, 3 separate points pop in your mind, and you want to make them…It happens, losing your train of thought, especially when emotions get in the way.

Second, I really love the resume’ you’ve written for us all to see-Just how smart Ms. Ph.D really is…And YOU think it makes a difference, here.

Third, calling people names is ALWAYS  a major way of securing your discussion point as fact…Ya, right.

Fourth, my response never encompassed a missile launch…Ever.  My response covered the FACT that while stationed in Korea (S),. and supervising KATUSA’s, I learned very much about the thoughts about those young men, and the YOUNG people at the time, 1987, wanted the US out…and wanted the entire country United. Families were split up; when the country was divided, and it hurt Everyone.

Fifth, Ms.Perfection, I’m wondering why we don’t have more news stories online, about EMP, and how our country isn’t Hardened, and that makes us very vulnerable with all of our electronic Everything…

Sixth,….did you notice? no name calling here.
