Laura Bush Thinks Kagan Is A ‘Great’ Nominee

Former First Lady Laura Bush’s recent foray into the media spotlight has succeeded in making me wish we had heard more from her during her husband’s presidency. Also, that if ever inclined, she’d probably make for a very likable candidate.

Fox News Sunday aired a taped interview with Bush this morning during which she took a moment to weigh in on the Kagan nomination and what it would mean to have three women serving on the Supreme Court at the same time:

I think it’s great. I’m really glad there will be three if she’s confirmed. I like to have women on the Supreme Court…I think it does make a difference and I just like women to be represented in all parts of American political and civic life.

Video of the clip below. We’ll have her full interview shortly.

Although I disagree with Mrs. Bush, I wonder how many lib feminists applaud a woman’s advancement without bringing ideaology into their decision? My guess, none.

Who knows what other thoughts she has and might have expressed had she not had to babysit one of the many drunken Bushes.

Laura Bush is letting it all hang out. She will not be as revered as she once was. Whatever.
