Mitt Romney Projected Winner Of New Hampshire Primary

video

With all New Hampshire polls closed and 11% of precincts reporting, Fox News is projecting Mitt Romney the winner of the first primary in the nation. Romney was officially declared the winner in the Iowa caucus, as well, after one county’s paper ballots appears long after midnight Eastern time.

With those precincts reporting, Fox declared that Romney’s 36% was enjoy to fully project a win. Rep. Ron Paul has so far been able to keep Jon Huntsman at bay, with 25% of the vote to Huntsman’s 17%. There are, however, a good 88% of precincts left to go, which means it is possible the positions for second and third, and subsequent positions, may change as the night go on. Newt Gingrich and Rick Santorum are also battling for fourth place, with that race too close to call. But it appears highly unlikely that any candidate will overtake Romney.

Romeny is the first non-incumbent since the 1970s to win both Iowa and New Hampshire, and seeks to clinch the nomination in South Carolina next week.

A lesson for Republicans: Don’t run your campaign like a PR firm representing Occupy Wall Street.

The sun is projected to rise in the east tomorrow.

No surprise here. It was Mitt Romney’s primary to lose, and he very nearly lost it in the last weekend of the race. But he was never in serious danger of falling behind what is a terribly weak and splintered field of has-been’s and nobodies. Romney will be the nominee, and Republican voters will barely embrace him in the fight against Obama. But the line “I like firing people” will be the Mitt calling card to be used over and over again by Obama and the Democrats. The question becomes, is Romney a fatally flawed nominee?   http://www.sunstateactivist.org

Congratulations to Rick Perry and his 1 percent.  Hey, Ricky, you silly boy!  Are ya gonna go “reassess” your campaign again?

He better get on those knees and pray some more.

1%?  He was practically tied with some no-name moron Buddy Rommer!  LOL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

He did when he got on the connecting flight from Iowa through Texas to South Carolina.

How about a more relevant question next time?

Mitt’s sons are so freakin’ ugly, greasy and slimy with those effed up faces, slicked back hair and nerdy outfits….disgusting.  They look like the typical spoiled 1%’ers.  Nasty.

Please we are talking about Perry, not an intelligent candidate.

Rick is off to SC where he will do equally as poorly.

    Yea buddy
Mitt Romney/ Chris Christie 2012 all the way throw the bums (AKA Obama’s) out of the peoples house.

Can someone here please do me a favor and let me know when this circus is over.

I’m not an Obama fan, but this whole bloody election cycle is information overload and we are not even near Super Tuesday.

Judging by the ratings last week + turnout in Iowa’s and NH’s elections, it seems that interest in this year’s election cycle (so far) is pretty low.  Looks like the cons aren’t too thrilled about this year’s choice of barnyard animals to pick from.

Is Romney a fatally flawed nominee? No.

The enthusiasm is not yet currently in the Romney corner. However, that is not to say that it won’t be. Once the splintered wood has been planed down and refinished, attention will be focused on defeating Obama which is something that Republicans want more than anything.

    That’s adorable.

  • Pablo

Ron Paul is on the cusp of making it a single digit win. That would be a surprise.

I’ve been ready to do that for months.  The guy I was waiting on to enter the race never existed to begin with.  Or he’s somewhere in fly-over country serving his first term as state representative.

That’s not to say I’m not looking forward to more contested races down the line in which Paul’s brand of libertarian ideology may be debated further and to see if someone (Santorum, it appears) will catch on as a credible alternative.

Whatever happens, I’ve always held conservatives this time around ought to be paying more attention to what’s going on downticket.

I thought animals that lame were taken out back behind the barn and shot. Lord knows some of these candidates need to be put out of their political misery.

To continue the farm analogy, are you saying this crop was a bad harvest?

The avatar and username are pretty cute too.  Gah, children.

  • TVNewsViewer

Somehow I don’t think even God would take that much pity on Perry.

Do you think Romney should be attacked by the “I like firing people” or do you think it is a false attack the media will use?

  • TVNewsViewer

What did you think of Mitch Daniels?

  • Anonymous

    Hmmm.  Does this work?

Obama’s daughters are so freakin’ ugly, greasy and slimy with those effed up
faces, slicked back hair and nerdy outfits….disgusting.

Louisa, I cast my votes that way too!  I was gonna vote Huntsman because of the Huntsman hotties.  But then I found out they were prudes.

I’m a very shallow human being.

I don’t agree with a lot of Dr. Paul’s politics, but he has integrity.  If by miracle, he should win the GOP nom, it would be an interesting national conversation between his views versus where the Obama Administration plans to take us post Bush.  It would definitely be a safe election: an incumbent vs. an honorable alternative.

  • Anonymous

Not really.  Two reasons that I can see.

NH is an open primary state- young voters (who normally vote Democratic) will be out to vote for Paul.  Ditto for any political type Democrat who wants to derail Mittens (and is smart enough to know Huntsman’s a fraud).

Also, lots of Libertarians gravitate to NH.  There was an effort about 10 or so years ago to turn the state into a Libertarian state.  Obvious where these people are going.

This will be the war on Mitt.  Quotes that sound like they mean something they don’t.

But lets play the game you want to play, and say that Mitt was talking about the Citizens United ruling and you disagree with the ruling:  Are unions people?

Because of this highly fluid Republican nominating process, I have developed quite a smoking habit as a way of calming my nerves and  releaving tension created by this thing.

And now i see this headline from Yahoo -
Nicotine therapy doesn’t help smokers quit: study
    http://news.yahoo.com/nicotine-therapy-doesnt-help-smokers-quit-study-173046252.html

    Damned you Republican nominating process.

  • Anonymous

Not sure what that is supposed to mean.

  • 12voltman1

My liberal is better than your liberal.
    LOL

Off the scene too early to determine his political chances (or for me to vet him thoroughly); though he appeared willing, in going against the grain of the base supporters, to take that spot on the stage now occupied by Huntsman – probably to the same effect.  Some points were decent and I liked how he was drawing attention to deficits and such; but his rhetoric didn’t quite jibe with his role in the spending excesses under Bush – while low-balling costs of the Iraq invasion (which was my only practical knowledge of him).

I’d rather put it that the party for which I’ll be voting’s unprincipled political survivor with experience in economic matters is better than your ideologic euro-socialist.

My hope is that he gets a congress that will hold his feet to the fire and to do the responsible things needed to right the course.

Obama’s girls are 13 year old CHILDREN…not adults.  Big difference.
