SNL Digital Short: Batman Is In Love With Chief O’Hara

video
» 13 comments

This week’s Digital Short began in classic movie trailer fashion, with Batman consulting with Chief O’Hara, played in this by Steve Buscemi (with the help of an impressive ‘stache). Batman appeared to give the chief crucial information on a rooftop, in his kitchen while he was eating Haagen-Dazs, in the shower, during a prostate exam, and while he wasin bed with his wife, but he always disappeared before the chief could get any significant deets. Things got super weird when Batman changed into a mouse costume and made Kristen Wiig, who was playing his wife, put on some kind of Green Lantern outfit. It was then that we all learned Batman has an ulterior motive…true love!

    Uh don’t they mean Commissioner Gordon?

    “Some kind of Green Lantern outfit”?? Trying to figure out if that was supposed to be a joke.

    Hey Sarah-you’re an idiot. that’s Commissioner Gordon

    And that’s the riddler costume Wig is wearing-that’s what made the joke funny.

    If you were trying to be irreverent and funny-you failed on an Epic Level.

    Cheif O Hara? This isnt the 1965 tv show. Steve is clearly playing Commisioner Gordon. Batman best friend in the police department.

    Another death at another Occupy protest. This time in Denton Texas. To be ignored by the media and by Mediaite as it doesn’t fit their warm fuzzy OWS narrative. No time for that but plenty of time for bland tv like SNL.

    OWS = epic fail

    That’s it comic book geeks , tell her off. {beat me to it}

    It was actually pretty funny. I liked the gravelly voice.

    That was Commissioner Gordon, not Chief O’Hara. It was a Riddler outfit, not a Green Lantern outfit. If you listen you can hear Batman say ”the Riddler’s outfit is weird”. Batman says “I’m the Squirrel a new villan”, so it wasn’t a mouse outfit.  I know these are small and trivial mistakes but Sarah how can you get so many things wrong in such a short article? Two of the mistakes could have been avoided by actually listening to the dialogue.  While this is a review of a silly comedy sketch and not important, if your attention to detail is this bad how can we trust you to give an accurate account of more serious political stories?

    Oh, my goodness, I just spent a week watching my daughter and her friends play a game called Arkham (or something).

    This makes so much sense…

    LOL! I hear that game is the hot item.

    Chief O’Hara, Green Latern, I mean I don’t want to nitpick but wow that’s a lot of stuff wrong in such a short article …

    Batman rules!!

    Wow, this article is so, so very bad. Was it designed to bring liberals and conservatives together in solidarity against it?
