Warren Ramps Up Attacks on Fox After Rejecting Town Hall Invite, Singles Out Hosts in Instagram Video
Senator Elizabeth Warren today said she won’t do a town hall on Fox News, blasting the network and singling out some of its hosts in an Instagram post this afternoon.
In a statement today, Warren said, “Fox News is welcome to come to my events just like any other outlet. But a Fox News town hall adds money to the hate-for-profit machine. To which I say: hard pass.”
This afternoon Warren invited people to sign a petition to “take a stand against an outlet that profits from racism and hate”:
I won’t do a town hall with Fox News because I won’t invite millions of Democratic primary voters to tune in, inflate ratings, and help sell ads for an outlet that profits from racism and hate. If you agree, sign our petition. https://t.co/zAyBN7i8Jf

And as some reporters have noted, she’s fundraising off of her decision not to do a Fox News town hall:
Warren fundraising off of decision to reject Fox News town hall: “instead of helping Fox News turn a fatter profit, I’ll keep building the grassroots movement that we need to win in 2020 and make real change starting in 2021. If you’re with me, will you pitch in $3…?” pic.twitter.com/WukXUXq6QG

Warren’s Instagram, meanwhile, shared a post that singled out a few Fox hosts, like Tucker Carlson and Jeanine Pirro, with the caption “STOP THE HATE-FOR-PROFIT FOX NEWS RACKET.”
