Is there anything more fun that listening to chefs talk about diets?! Sure. Lots of things. Like root canals. But, enslaved to The Chew’s theme of “Healthy New Year,” Bobby Flay had to come on and talk about his fitness plan. On the bright side, we get to watch Michael Symon, who’s nobly trying to quit smoking this year, beat him in a footrace and nearly take out his own testicles with a kettlebell.
Mario Batali sat quietly through the fitness chats, but Bobby called him out, reminiscing about the good old days, when they would pull into a table at Blue Ribbon after service and binge on fried chicken and bottles of wine till two in the morning.
This is not to be confused with the story where Joe Bastianich and Mario Batali used to polish off a magnum of Bourdeaux, a Côte de Boeuf for two, and French fries till five in the morning at Balthazar.
Check out parts one and two of Bobby’s appearance below.
