Last night, the James Beard Foundation celebrated the people who write, film, and investigate food: authors, television hosts, filmmakers, and journalists.
Unsurprisingly, it turns out that quite a few chefs can do the communication thing quite well, too: Marcus Samuelsson won the “Writing/Literary” award for his memoir Yes, Chef!, Anthony Bourdain and David Chang won the “Television Program, On Location” award for The Mind Of A Chef, and Andrew Zimmern won for “Outstanding Personality/Host” on Bizarre Foods.
