CNN’s Donie O’Sullivan Straight-Up Asks Trump Conspiracist Lindell ‘Do You Ever Just Wanna Stop?’

CNN correspondent Donie O’Sullivan confronted MyPillow inventor and Trump conspiracist Mike Lindell — whose defamation trial began this week — at the courthouse, asking if he ever just wants to “stop” with it all.

O’Sullivan specializes in reporting on the fringes of the conservative and pro-Trump movement, and has a bit of a history with Lindell. He was reunited with the defendant this week, and straight-up asked him if the non-stop conspiracy-mongrering about President Donald Trump’s election loss ever gets old:

DONIE O’SULLIVAN: Pillows are everywhere in this case. Coomer alleges Lindell used viral online conspiracy theories to drive traffic to websites that in turn advertised his pillows.

DONIE O’SULLIVAN: In the lawsuit it says that MyPillow I think made something like $2.5 million through promo codes to do it, defaming Comer and pushing election conspiracy theories. Is that true?

MYPILLOW’s MIKE LINDELL: No, no, we didn’t change any of our business model that I’ve been doing for 15 years. There’s tens of thousands of promocodes.

DONIE O’SULLIVAN: The pillows came up in Lindell’s deposition.

LAWYER: And I’m not asking about the lumpy pillow calls.

MYPILLOW’s MIKE LINDELL: No, they’re not lumpy pillows. That’s not what they call on. Okay? When you say lumpy pillow, now you’re an ass. You got that? You’re an asshole is what you are! No, he’s an asshole! He’s an ambulance chaser.

DONIE O’SULLIVAN: Pillows even came up in jury selection.

One of the questions for the jury was if they had bought a my pillow. And some people had.

MYPILLOW’s MIKE LINDELL: And they eliminated those, the others. Each side can eliminate people.

DONIE O’SULLIVAN: This must be the first trial ever where the jury pool was selected based on what pillow they slept on.

MYPILLOW’s MIKE LINDELL: Yeah (LAUGHS) That’s good.

DONIE O’SULLIVAN: I don’t think jurors are normally asked what pillow they use.

Lindell has been unsuccessfully trying to prove his baseless election claims for years, like in 2021 when he held a cyber symposium where he said he had proof that China rigged the 2020 election, but he wouldn’t show that proof to us.

DONIE O’SULLIVAN: If your stuff is legit, if the data is legit wouldn’t it be better for you to hand it over to as many cyber experts as possible?

MYPILLOW’s MIKE LINDELL: You know why? I’ll give you the answer. Because I’ve been told that they can go out there and corrupt it and make fake stuff and put fake news out. So I don’t need your people to go out and doctor the evidence and put out a Mike Lindell’s a conspiracy.

DONIE O’SULLIVAN: You and I, we go back a long way. 2021, your cyber symposium, it’s now 2025. Trump has won, the 2020 election is over.

Do you ever just wanna stop? Do you just wanna say, I gotta stop being so obsessed with elections and machines and saying that it was stolen and rigged and all this sort of stuff?

MYPILLOW’s MIKE LINDELL: No, because it’s not just about– that election was the eye-opener.
